On Thursday, April 4th, the Martin County High School Tiger Regiment welcomed back to campus the former Director of Bands, D.R. Roadman. Mr. Roadman conducted the Tiger Regiment for a recording of the Star-Spangled Banner. This recording was done at the request of Gunners Mate First Class Douglas Campora, Martin County High School/Tiger Regiment Class of 2003, to be played at his retirement ceremony from the United States Navy after 20 years of service. In GM1 Campora's own words:
"I truly believe that my participation in Tiger Regiment those four years absolutely set me up for success and taught me the discipline and teamwork needed to begin a career in the Navy and 20 years later I would like to honor that."
The Tiger Regiment thanks GM1 Campora for his service and wishes him the best in retirement!
