Indian River State College will offer tuition-free associate degrees to high school graduates in Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee and St. Lucie counties beginning with the Class of 2022. To be eligible, students must graduate high school with at least a 2.0 GPA.

The graduation rate for all demographic subgroups also increased significantly, boasting an average percentage point increase of 8.28.

Jensen Beach High School junior Jacob Breen has been selected as this year's alternate. The Sunshine State Scholars program recognizes Florida's top performing 11th graders in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
