🟦 Holiday breaks and days off? Shaded in dark blue.
🟥 Emergency Makeup Days? Outlined in red: November 24–25 (before Thanksgiving) and May 29, 2026.
If we don’t need them, you get bonus vacation days. If we do, they become regular school days.

August 11 is coming in hot, and guess what? Only 30% of our families have filled out the back-to-school forms in the FOCUS Parent Portal.
That means 70% are about to log in on August 7 like:“Where’s my kid’s schedule?” “Why can’t I see anything?” “Wait… we had to do forms?” 🤷♂️

Join us for Curriculum Night on the designated date and time of your child's grade level (see flyer). Curriculum Night is one of the most important parent meetings of the year. Mark your calendar and be an active participant in our school initiatives for the 25-26 school year. See you then!

It was The Pinewood Elementary Extended Day’s turn to explore Hobe Sound Farms—126 acres of animals, adventure, and hands-on learning!
Campers met donkeys, goats, and chickens, discovered the important role of earthworms, mooed with cows, and strolled through a bamboo forest. A sunshine-filled day of smiles, nature, and A-Rated education beyond the classroom!

Extended Day registration for the 2025-2026 school year will begin Monday, July 14!
Registration forms will be available online through FOCUS and will be accepted through July 25th in order to attend the first week of school. The Extended Day program is open to students who will be attending grades VPK-5 at a District-operated school in the upcoming school year. Students must enroll in the Extended Day Program at their school of attendance.

🍎LEAVING A LEGACY🍎
After 40 incredible years with the Martin County School District, The Pinewood Elementary's beloved Assistant Principal Patty Morris is heading into retirement!
Ms. Morris has done it all—teacher, coach, leader—across elementary, middle, and high school levels. For the last decade, she’s been a bright light at Pinewood, known for her festive outfits, signature “hug corner,” and iconic Elf on the Shelf antics. Her energy and heart have left a lasting impact on students and staff alike.
Superintendent Michael Maine and the School Board were honored to celebrate her 40-year career during the board meeting on June 17.
Thank you, Ms. Morris, for 40 years of heart, humor, and dedication. We wish you the very best in retirement!
