📱UPDATED CELL PHONE POLICY📱 The Martin County School District is dedicated to creating a focused, safe, and supportive learning environment for every student. To help achieve this, the Martin County School Board has updated our Code of Student Conduct policy regarding cell phones and other wireless communication devices. 📲 All wireless communication devices, including cell phones, smartphones, smartwatches and ear buds, that are visible or in use during school hours will be TAKEN AWAY. 📲 Wireless devices that have been taken away will only be returned to the student’s parent/guardian at a scheduled time determined by school administration. 📲 Repeated offenses constitutes insubordination and may result in suspension. For urgent messages, parents or guardians should contact the school's front office. Staff will ensure your student receives the message promptly. Violations will result in serious disciplinary and legal consequences. 📱UPDATED CELL PHONE POLICY📱 The Martin County School District is committed to fostering a safe, supportive and effective learning environment for all students. In order to maintain a focused learning environment, the Martin County School Board has updated the Code of Student Conduct policy regarding cell phones/wireless communication devices. Here's what you need to know: 👉Devices Off & Out of Sight: All devices must be turned off and stored in purses or backpacks during the school day. This includes cell phones, earbuds, smartwatches and smartphones. 👉Corrective Actions: Devices seen during school hours will be TAKEN AWAY. Parents/guardians must visit the school to retrieve them, and repeated offenses will lead to further disciplinary action. 👉Communication: For urgent messages, parents/guardians should contact the school's front office.
