Garcia Family Foundation donates school supplies to WES

Warfield Elementary School students started the 2024-2025 school year with backpacks filled to the zippers with school supplies generously donated by the Garcia Family Foundation/Terra Lago.

During the Meet the Teacher event on August 9, 2024, representatives from The Garcia Companies, leaders from the Village of Indiantown, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Martin County, and School District leaders—including Superintendent Michael Maine, School Board Chair Jennifer Russell, School Board Member Marsha Powers, and Assistant Superintendent of Academics Troy LaBarbara—distributed the supplies to students.

Students from all grade levels had the opportunity to select their favorite color backpack, donated by the Boys and Girls Clubs of Martin County, before meeting their teachers.

"We are deeply grateful to the Garcia Family Foundation for their incredible generosity and unwavering commitment to our students' success," said Superintendent Michael Maine. "This donation of school supplies is a shining example of the positive impact that strong community partnerships can have on education. By working together, we can ensure every child is equipped and ready for a successful school year."

"This is an exceptional opportunity for us to continue playing a role in our commitment to this community and to further our quest for a focus on education," said Josh Kellam, President of the Garcia Companies and spokesperson on behalf of the Garcia Family. "We are fortunate enough to be playing a small part in the lives of Indiantown students while helping their families pave the way for a successful school year."
