🍎INVESTMENT IN KNOWLEDGE🍎 Earlier this year, the Martin County School Board adopted K-12 instructional materials for English Language Arts (ELA) that are fully aligned to the Florida Department of Education's new B.E.S.T. standards. While school districts had the option of adopting only for grades K-2 this year, the School Board believed it was important to take the leap and invest in these materials for all grade levels. "We could have adopted kindergarten through second grade," said Courtney Beard, the District's K-5 ELA Specialist. "But we decided to go big and go K-12."
