🌟📚FUTURE WARRIOR ALERT📚🌟
Please say hello to this future Warrior and Martin County School District alum, Luna!
Sweet baby Luna recently made her first appearance at her future elementary school, Warfield Elementary School.
With her new 'future MCSD graduate' shirt, she is ready to conquer the world, one lesson at a time! Of course, she has a few more years until that happens...she's only 10 months old!
Did you know infants born to Martin County families receive these adorable little t-shirts when new parents visit their neighborhood school?
We can't wait until you start your educational journey with us, Luna!

🚗TRAVELING THE MAINE ROAD🚗
Traveling the MAINE Road to the #1 spot by providing tailored, consistent and meaningful support to each of our schools!
🍎 Superintendent of Schools Michael Maine visited Spectrum Academy and Warfield Elementary School in the morning. In the afternoon, Mr. Maine caught up with Assistant Superintendent of Academics, Mr. Troy LaBarbara, at the Hobe Sound Early Learning Center.
🍎 Assistant Superintendent of Student Support Services Lisa Estevez stopped by Jensen Beach Elementary School and Jensen Beach High School.
🍎 Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources Julie Sessa visited Hidden Oaks Middle School, Stuart Middle School and ran into Mrs. Estevez at Jensen Beach High School.
These site visits are beneficial for several reasons! District leaders are inspired by the creativity, innovation, and passion they witness in the classrooms. They also see first-hand how to provide the support needed to give our students the very best education.📚💫

🥦HEAD STARTING HEALTHY HABITS🥦
Martin County School District's Food and Nutrition Services Director Laura Holmedal joined our Head Start students for lunch today!
The menu included: orange chicken, rice, chopped broccoli, a strawberry applesauce cup and milk.🍏🥦🥛😋
To encourage students to eat and try new foods, FNS provides Head Start teachers free meals so they can promote good eating habits for their students. Today, every student tried broccoli and received a cool sticker! They learned broccoli is good for our bodies, especially our eyes and for fighting bad germs.

⭐SHINING STARS OF SAFETY⭐
Our Safety Patrol students aren't just keeping our hallways safe; they are also LEADERS in action!
Check out the fantastic patrol teams at Jensen Beach Elementary School and SeaWind Elementary--their leadership doesn't stop at the car line or bus line.
These students arrive at school early, taking their jobs very seriously. They make sure every child finds their way in the school. They are mentors to their younger peers.
We couldn't be more proud of ALL our Safety Patrols in the District! They are future leaders in the making. ⭐💫

🎨CELEBRATING CREATIVITY🎨
South Fork High School's 2021-2022 yearbook Procyon was selected and featured as one of the best covers in the nation by Herff Jones!
The yearbook is featured in The Best of Herff Jones Portfolio, Vol. 28, recognizing the best of the best publications around the nation. Yearbook students in the Community Technology Academy in the 21-22 school year designed a cover around the theme "SF Original" with a nod to Netflix. Two current seniors, Tori Murray and Parker Shore (holding portfolio and certificate), were on staff at the time of the creation and will continue to create a memorable SFHS yearbook this year as leaders on the yearbook staff.
📸 Pictured is part of Procyon's 23-24 staff with Advisor and CTE teacher Laura Green and Herff Jones representative Jen Ortman, who presented the award.
Congratulations, South Fork High School yearbook team!

🛠️SOLID BASE, ENDLESS OPPORTUNITIES🛠️
August 2nd was a very busy and exciting day in the Martin County School District!
Ribbon-cutting ceremonies were held at three brand-new facilities within the District: Jensen Beach Elementary School, Indiantown High School and Palm City Elementary School.
Inside these walls, students can be assured they have a solid foundation and state-of-the-art amenities with room to grow and learn for generations to come.
These brand-new schools would not be possible without the tremendous support of the community and Martin County taxpayers. We are truly grateful! Also, a shoutout goes to Proctor Construction Company (JBE contractor), Paul Jacquin & Sons, Inc. (PCE Contractor), and the District's Maintenance and Facilities staff for their hard work!
Special thanks to Acacia Lodge No 163 F&AM for being part of this day and conducting Cornerstone Laying Ceremonies at JBE and PCE.

"We are here for you, and it is always Better Together," Renee Heyes, Director of Purchasing, Warehousing, Reprographics and Property Control, said to J.D. Parker Elementary School staff after her site visit today.
Every Tuesday and Thursday, all District office staff visit schools to observe teachers and students in action and offer tailored support. Today, Renee joined Transportation Director Tom Hardin and Food and Nutrition Services Director Laura Holmedal at JDP.
We are on the road to #1, and this is one way we are going to get there! Showing staff and students inside the schools, they are fully supported because we are better together. 💪

🍎PATHWAY TO EXCELLENCE🍎
The first phase of our comprehensive reaccreditation process is just around the corner, starting later this month. Accreditation is more than just a status – it's a commitment to constant growth and improvement!
During this reaccreditation process, our District will be rigorously evaluated by an impartial third party to ensure that we're meeting the highest standards in education. From policies to learning environments and cultural inclusivity, every facet of our district will be under the microscope to ensure we deliver the best to our students.
The premise of accreditation aligns with our dedication to providing top-notch education and our mission to become the number one school district in the state.
