☀️DIFFERENCE MAKERS AND WORLD CHANGERS☀️ 3rd-grade gifted students at Felix A. Williams Elementary turned their yearly study on U.S. Regions into a "make-sale," and raised more than $500 for local non-profits! Students worked in teams and combined research, lessons in geography and economics, and their unique creative gifts and talents to make regional themed items like magnets, keychains, artwork, sculptures, necklaces, and more. Each team then researched and picked a local nonprofit for their store to benefit. 100% of profits from the make sale went to Hibiscus Children's Center, The Humane Society of the Treasure Coast, Students4H2O, Caring Fields Felines and the Environmental Studies Center. A representative from each organization came out to collect donations and share information with families during the make-sale. These students show us all that we are all able to be #differencemakers and #worldchangers in our own ways and that we are able to achieve so much when we work together. #ALLINMartin👊 #PublicSchoolProud

📺TUNE IN TONIGHT📺 One of the Martin County School District's very own will be on WPTV tonight (5/26/22) for being the winner for Florida in the Doodle for Google Student Contest. K-12 students from across the United States had the opportunity to create their own version of the Google logo inspired by the prompt, "I care for myself by..." Sophie Araque-Liu, a junior at Martin County High School, got a surprise visit from Google to find out she was the state's winner, and it was all caught on camera. 🏆⚾GRACIOUS SPORTSMANSHIP🏆⚾ We need to brag on Jensen Beach High School's Varsity Baseball team for a moment. The Falcons competed in the Florida High School Athletic Association's Class 4A state championship in Fort Myers earlier this week. While they came up just short of earning a state title, losing 8-7 in extra innings, their season was nothing short of inspirational. 💥These student-athletes left Fort Myers as Class 4A state runners-up AND as the state's Academic Champion (highest team GPA) for baseball this school year! 💥 To top it all off, proud Principal Lori Vogel submitted this photo of Cade Crews (#3) congratulating members of Island Coast High School's baseball team moments after they won the state championship. FALCON PROUD is an understatement. #ALLINMartin👊

🎓#MCSDSENIORSTORIES🎓 Today's senior in the spotlight is Ella Migliorino of Martin County High School! Ella plans to attend the University of South Florida and pursue a degree in psychology. A portion of the funding was used to enhance academic offerings, including the AVID program, a comprehensive curriculum designed to close opportunity gaps for all children while preparing them for post-secondary success. 🎓CELEBRATING THE YOUNGEST GRADUATES AND THEIR CULTURES🎓 Head Start, one of the Martin County School District's Pre-K programs, celebrated Cultural Night and the End of the Year with their families! More than 100 families attended the event and watched their Pre-K children sing, dance, and show off what they've learned throughout the year. It was a night to celebrate the end of the school year and the many cultures that make up the Head Start program. A big thanks to all the teachers and staff who helped with the events and a huge thank you to Food and Nutrition Services for lending a helping hand at the Stuart Learning Center Site! Kyle Ramos, who graduated from South Fork High School on Friday, served as the School Board's Student Representative this school year. 🎓COMING FULL CIRCLE🎓 Hundreds of graduation Martin County School District seniors participated in the district's Senior Walk tradition. Graduating seniors dress up in their cap and gowns and walk down the first school at which their educational career started. As they head down the hallways lined up with staff and elementary students, they are received with cheers, 'congratulations' posters and smiling faces looking up at their future. He plans to attend the University of Florida where he'll major in biology and public health on a pre-med track. 💵OUR DOLLARS, OUR DISTRICT💵 This week Michael Maine, Executive Director of Principals and Professional Standards, visited the build site at Palm City Elementary School. Mr. Maine was accompanied by Principal Robyn Monte and Assistant Principal Lauren Rabener on his tour of the new school site. Ms. Johnson has proudly served the Martin County School District for 31 years in a variety of roles - Extended Day assistant, substitute teacher, clinic aide, security guard and more!
