The Beach Announcements Tuesday, September 20, 2022 There will be a School Activities Council (SAC) meeting today after school in the media center. From the “Speak Life, End Bullying” the musical, the phone number that you can call if you need support is 1 (800) 273-TALK (8255) Math Honor Society will be tutoring math after school every Thursday from 3:05-4:05 in room 138. If you need help with your math homework, our Math Honor Society students are here to help. Everyone is welcome. If you plan on joining the Math Honor Society, dues need to be paid by Friday, 9/23. Chloe Sebuck led the Falcons with an 18 hole total of 83. Hannah Erwig finished with an 87. Faith Ayers and Grace Ayers rounded out the top 4 scores for the team with scores of 91 and 92. Way to go, ladies! Vote for the TCPalm Athlete of the Week nominee, Hannah Erwig! Way to go, Falcons! Four runners on the girls’ cross-country team received medals at the St. Edwards September Showdown Meet on Saturday, earning 2nd place for the team. Ava Vancour finished 7th, Niki Sossie finished 9th, Emma Giesing finished 12th and Chloe Haley finished 15th. Nic Colbert won the boys varsity race and Justin Cannata came in second place to help the team finish 2nd overall. These two outstanding male athletes are the fastest cross-country runners in the school's history. Way to go, Falcon runners! Sports News At yesterday's Jupiter Invitational Cross Country Meet, Justin Cannata won the boys race by 50 seconds to lead the Falcon boys team to a 4th place finish. For the girls team, Ava Vancour finished 8th and Niki Sossie came in 13th to help the girls team place 5th overall! Great going Falcons! The girls' golf team remains undefeated by a score of 160 - 225 over Sebastian River yesterday. Hannah Erwig had the low round of the day with a 36. Faith Ayers scored a 38. Chloe Sebuck had a 42. The Beach Announcements: Tuesday, September 13, 2022. Any sophomore, junior, or senior that is interested in joining the National English Honor Society should attend a meeting on today at 3:15 in room 208, Mrs. Spooner's room. Homecoming Week/Spirit Week has begun! For this Spirit Week, there will be fun dress days each day. Wednesday: “Whimsical Wednesday”: Come dressed as your favorite fairy tale character. Thursday: “Stages of Life”: Freshmen - babies Sophomore - middle schoolers Juniors - middle-aged Seniors - senior citizens Friday: Falcon Friday: Wear your class colors and be ready for the pep rally! Freshmen - white Sophomores - gray Juniors - teal Seniors - black Key Club would like to challenge all of our school clubs/sports/etc… to a friendly food drive competition in recognition of September being Hunger Action Month. The club/organization with the most food donated will win a pizza party sponsored by Key Club. Food drive dates: 9/12 – 9/23 Food donations should be non-perishable items such as canned/plastic jars, cereal, rice, etc… Food will be collected by Key Club members on 9/23 and will be donated to House of Hope. Let us know if you accept the challenge! On September 19th MCSD will present the musical, “Speak Life”, an anti-bullying program. Permission slips will be going home soon to attend. The Once Upon a Homecoming Dance paperwork is now available. All dress code and guest paperwork can be picked up in the Dean's office or front office, before and after school, or during lunches. These forms must be filled out and approved, as well as all fees paid, being signed up on Parent Portal, and have all emergency forms filled out on FOCUS prior to being sold tickets. Jensen Beach girl's golf won the high school team championship at the Junior Grapefruit Invitational at the Vero Beach Country Club on Saturday. Chloe Sebuck won the High School Individual Title with a low round for the day of 36. Faith Ayers added a 39. Hannah Erwig scored a 40 and Natalie Goodall claimed the #4 spot for the team with a 47. Chloe Haley finished 5th and Ava Vancour finished 12th to lead the girls’ team to earn 2nd place out of 11 teams. Nic Colbert won the boys race with Justin Cannata finishing second to lead the boys team to a 4th place finish out of 15 teams. Way to go, Falcon athletes!
