This is a friendly reminder that our Practical Nursing, Associate Degree Nursing, and RN-BSN program applications are now open! Students graduating high school in the four-county service area of Indian River State College may be eligible for preferred acceptance for the Associate Degree Nursing Program. Please visit the website posted in the Senior Google Classroom or call the guidance office at 772-462-7570.
Math Honor Society will have its next meeting on Thursday, September 8th at 3:05 in room 138. If you would like to join the club, bring your dues to this meeting. The cost to join the club is $25 for new members and $15 for returning members.

Jensen Beach High School Falcon Parent Alert 🍎🍎 Our Curriculum Night will be held on Wednesday , August 31st. We will be hosting a Senior Parent Information session in our Auditorium beginning at 5:00pm. All of our school sports, clubs and activities will have informational tables set up in the court yard from 5:00-5:40pm. We will have a brief presentation in the Gym for everyone and then you will follow your students schedule to meet their teachers. Math Honor Society will have its next meeting on Thursday, September 8th at 3:05 in room 138. If you would like to join the club, bring your dues to this meeting. The cost to join the club is $25 for new members and $15 for returning members.
Come join us at First Priority! We are having our first meeting TODAY, August 29th after school and we will meet every Monday after that. Once a month, we will bring Chick-Fil-A to eat and enjoy! Every week there will be games and Bible verses to go over. Our goal is to get people connected to a church and build a relationship with Jesus. You don’t have to be a Christian. If you are interested in auditioning, please join the drama club Google Classroom, or see Mrs. Hance in building 6 room 127. Students must come prepared to audition with a 1-minute monologue, and a completed audition packet. Packets and time slot sign-up can be found on Google Classroom. We look forward to putting on this amazing production with you!

The girls’ bowling team moved to 2-0 on the season after beating Fort Pierce Central 2 games to 0 on Thursday. Grace Petit led the way with a 238 series and a game high score of 147.
Sofia Cobo, Allie Schroeder, and Deanna Allen all had strong matches. The Boys had strong games from Chase McNamara, Henry Dieffenbach and Kasey Davis, as well. Both boys and girls Falcons bowl next Tuesday, 8/30 against Vero Beach, 3:30at Jensen Beach Bowl. Entry to matches is free so come watch the team roll!
Come out to support the varsity football team tonight! The game is at 7 PM. All students must purchase tickets on-line. No cash will be accepted at the gate. The website to purchase tickets is jensenbeachathletics.com/event-tickets.

Sports News
Both girls’ and boys’ cross country teams placed 3rd at the Centennial Invitational meet last night of 14 teams. Chloe Haley came in 7th overall and Ava Vancour placed 9th for the girls. Nic Colbert won the boys race and Justin Cannata came in third. Both of their finishing times broke the school cross country record. Way to go, Falcons!

Any Junior or Senior girls that are NEW STUDENTS this year to JBHS & interested in cheerleading - we are having a special try-out today from 3:30-5:30pm in the Café. Those interested need to see Mr. Costello, the Athletic Director, in the gym or Cheer Coach Resch in room 122 immediately for the necessary paperwork needed. Students must have a completed physical packet, 3 teacher recommendations, and a copy of their most recent report card.
The Girls Bowling team won their first match of the season over Somerset Canyons 2 games to 0. Strong efforts by Grace Petit, Lillyanne Kiersted, and Deanna Allen. First Friday Night under the lights for the Falcon Football Team . The boys came home with a a big W. First time in program history we have won against Heritage Palm Bay and at their home field. Our boys have grit and heart . #Itsgreat2BaFalcon

If you need a laptop, or a laptop repair, the Laptops for Learning office (L4L) in building 4 room 123 (close to the cafeteria) will be open from 8:00-8:15 AM and 11:52-1:20 PM (during 5th/lunches) daily. You must have a form filled out by a parent or guardian before receiving a device for the first time. These forms are available in the Dean’s Office.

Congratulations to Flag Football players Bella Faherty and Lauren Duke for being named to ESPN 106.3 first ever Top 10 Flag Football players list! Bella was ranked number 5 & Lauren was named 7. Great job ladies for making HERSTORY!
The varsity football team season starts tonight when the team travels to play Heritage High School in Palm Bay for the Kickoff Classic game. The game will start at 7pm. Go Falcons!

Tomorrow is Falcon Friday! Don't forget to wear your spirit shirt and your best black and teal accessories to celebrate the first full week of the school year at JBHS.
Homecoming final four voting will take place in each class's Google Classrooms page on Monday, August 22nd. Please be on the lookout for the ballot on Monday. Voting will close at 3:05pm.
If you are interested in being a part of your class organization, get involved! Join your class's Google Classroom. Ask your teachers for the code to join.
National Honor Society members: Mrs. Duchene is the new NHS sponsor. Our officers are working on getting some great service projects set up and we will be having our first meeting soon. We will have a new Remind code and Google Classroom to join, and dues will be $25 -- stay tuned for more details! New members interested in joining, applications will be available at the beginning of September - you must have at least a 3.5 GPA to be eligible for NHS. If you have any questions, please stop by room 249 before or after school.
Class of 2026: please check your Google Classroom page today (Thursday) for bios of those students running for a class officer position. Voting for class officer positions will be held tomorrow until 3:05pm in your class Google Classroom page.
Club/sport homecoming candidates please be sure to stop by room 221 to pick up your homecoming candidate forms.
The Jensen Beach High School Drama Department will be hosting auditions for their fall production “The Play That Goes Wrong” after school on August 29th. If you are interested in auditioning, please join the drama club Google Classroom, or see Mrs. Hance in building 6 room 127. Students must come prepared to audition with a 1-minute monologue, and a completed audition packet. Packets and time slot sign-up can be found on Google Classroom. We look forward to putting on this amazing production with you!
Youth in Government meetings are at the YMCA in Stuart this year. They will be on Tuesday evenings from 5:30-6:30. Pizza will be provided. The first meeting is August 23. The address for the YMCA is 1700 SE Monterey Rd. Stuart. If you have any questions, you may contact Kendall Palmer at palmerk@martinschools.org.
CADY Photography will be on our campus this Saturday, 8/20/2022 & 9/24/2022 in the gym, and on Wednesday 10/12/2022 in the auditorium to take senior photos. More information can be found in the Senior Google Classroom.
Underclass photos will be taken on 9/1 and 9/2. Schedules for both days will follow.

If you need a laptop, or a laptop repair, the Laptops for Learning office (L4L) in building 4 room 123 (close to the cafeteria) will be open from 8:00-8:15 AM and 11:52-1:20 PM (during 5th/lunches) daily. You must have a form filled out by a parent or guardian before receiving a device for the first time. These forms are available in the Dean’s Office.

Congratulations to Flag Football players Bella Faherty and Lauren Duke for being named to ESPN 106.3 first ever Top 10 Flag Football players list! Bella was ranked number 5 & Lauren was named 7. Great job ladies for making HERSTORY!
There will be a brief meeting today for anyone interested in playing boys’ lacrosse this year. The meeting will be in Coach Mahieu’s room, Building 4, Room 126 from 3:05p to 3:20p. Please see Coach Mahieu with any questions or if you can’t attend.
Tonight (Thursday 8/18) the volleyball team will be kicking off their year with their annual preseason tournament. The games will be at 5:30 and 7 here at the gym. All JBHS students who show up in Jensen Beach colors to cheer on the ladies will get free admission to the game.
For those interested in playing boys’ golf this year, tryouts will continue today (Thursday) after school. See Mr. Elliott in room 130 if you have any questions.
There is a mandatory Boys’ Soccer meeting today (Thursday) in the gym after school to discuss all information regarding tryouts for this upcoming season.
The varsity football team season starts tomorrow, Friday, August 19th when the team travels to play Heritage High School in Palm Bay for the Kickoff Classic game. The game will start at 7pm.
