📚CELEBRATE LITERACY WEEK📚 Celebrate Literacy Week, Florida! is almost here! From January 27-31, schools across the Martin County School District will bring this year’s theme to life: “Building Literacy: Constructing the Foundation for Success.” From schoolwide read-aloud sessions and family literacy nights to transforming media centers and writing their own stories for others to read, our schools have something planned for every learner! 📖 The School Board approved a proclamation in partnership with Martin Reads, encouraging everyone to take action and support literacy in our community. It's time to share another MCSD alumni story: Meet Ms. Angie Gilbride, an MCSD alum shaping our legacy as Warfield Elementary School’s Assistant Principal. Her journey began at Palm City Elementary School, continued at Hidden Oaks Middle School and led to her graduation from MCHS in 1999. Angie started working at The Pinewood Elementary while attending college and now proudly leads at Warfield. She’s part of a 3-generation Tiger family—her mom graduated from MCHS, and now her own children carry on the tradition! 🐅 "One of the things that makes MCSD special is the friendships you create and continue well into adulthood," Ms. Gilbride shared.
