🎶🇺🇸UNITY THROUGH MUSIC🇺🇸🎶
Martin County High School's OPUS Choir sang beautifully during Monday's September 11th Tribute at the Cummings Library in Palm City. It was a heartfelt tribute to those we lost on that fateful day and the brave men and women who ran straight ahead in an attempt to save lives 22 years ago.
The power of music to bring us together and heal our hearts was on full display as the OPUS choir sang their hearts out. Listen in as their harmonious melodies remind us of the strength and resilience that unites us as a nation. 🇺🇸🎶

💵📈STOCK ABOUT IT📈💵
The Martin County School District's Personal Financial Literacy Teachers recently teamed up to talk lesson plans for this brand-new course.
In March, Governor Ron DeSantis signed Senate Bill 1054, requiring high school students to take a financial literacy course to receive a standard high school diploma.
With first-year teacher Mr. Terrell Mabins leading the way, our Personal Financial Literacy Teachers collaborate to create an encompassing curriculum to educate and empower our students. This curriculum aims to give our students the knowledge and skills to make wise financial choices and pave the way for a prosperous future.

Hurricane Idalia is rapidly approaching the west coast of Florida and is expected to bring powerful winds and storm surge as it approaches Category 3 strength. While Martin County is not currently operating under any storm-related watches or warnings, our area is expected to experience heavy rains and wind gusts from the storm.
Any time severe weather has the potential to impact our area, the Martin County School District works closely with national, state, and county management officials, including the Martin County Emergency Operations Center, to determine how operations may be impacted. Our top priority is to ensure the safety of our students, employees, and families. We will continue to monitor the path of the storm and will provide updates as needed through our mass notification (callout/text) system, website and social media channels.
We encourage families and employees to make necessary preparations that will help ensure their safety during severe weather conditions, such as reviewing emergency plans and stocking up on essential supplies. We encourage you to take advantage of the Florida Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday, which began this past weekend. It lasts until Friday, September 8.
We appreciate your patience, understanding and support as we continue to monitor local weather conditions.

Patrick planned, collected donations, designed and installed the wall for the Hawks.
