🎨CELEBRATING CREATIVITY🎨
Martin County High School was recently awarded a Gold rating from the Florida Scholastic Press Association (FSPA) for their incredible work on their 2022-2023 yearbook!
The rating tiers include All Florida, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Merit. The evaluation is voluntary, albeit incredibly thorough and provides extensive, actionable feedback.
"I am thrilled that our rating reflects the hard work and dedication of our students," Ms. Haynes, the MCHS yearbook advisor, shared. "I am grateful for a response that both highlights areas we excelled in and areas we can continue to improve."

Martin County High School student Kate and her brother Luke, a Stuart Middle School student, took a summer trip to the United Kingdom with their family!
"We stayed in and explored London and Cambridge in England, and also Glasgow and Edinburgh in Scotland," mom Jacqueline shared. "It was fun to see so many sites and landmarks that have been important throughout world history. We saw Big Ben, the Tower of London, Kensington and Buckingham Palace, and much more. We braved the tube system 🚇 and “mind the gap” each time. We visited the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh and The British Museum in London. There we browsed through many exhibits of scientific, historical, and artistic importance. Kate has just completed the Cambridge Assessment International Education program at MCHS, so visiting the University of Cambridge was especially enriching. Both students also row with Treasure Coast Rowing Club and we watched many rowers in action in Cambridge."

Students supporting students. Creating a community where everyone can flourish and reach their full potential happens here! 🌟🤝👏
Students from South Fork High School, Jensen Beach High School and Martin County High School recently took part in the Peer Forward Workshop at California State Los Angelos. The transformative experience turned them into Peer Leaders, arming them with skills to motivate their peers in pursuing higher education, with the goal of boosting their chances of success after graduation.
They also forged meaningful connections with students from their local high schools and strengthened their relationship with the Boys and Girls Club of Martin County.

🍎LEAVING A LASTING LEGACY🍎
On Tuesday, Superintendent Michael Maine and the Martin County School Board celebrate the incredible career of Mr. Al Fabrizio, former Principal of Martin County High School.
Mr. Fabrizio has served in education for an impressive 43 years. His educational journey started in New York, but he has been part of the Martin County School District family for the last 35 years. He's been a Special Education teacher, Coordinator of Special Education, Dean of Students and Assistant Principal of Academics. For the previous eight years, Mr. Fabrizio impacted many MCHS students as their Principal, where he helped them reach their individual finish lines and become the Small District of the Year for the Cambridge Assessment International Education program.
Mr. Fabrizio is a pillar of strength, passion and consistency. He showed what it truly means to be ALL in Martin, as he was extremely proud of not only MCHS, but also the entire District.
Thank you, Mr. Fabrizio, for your passion and dedication to your students, school, the District and the community. We wish you the very best in retirement.

🍎ASPIRING TO GROW AS LEADERS🍎
Ten Martin County School District educators have earned their School Principal Certification after attending the Aspiring Principal Academy.
Their journey started last summer during a two-week-long intensive and continued throughout the past year. During this academy, these aspiring principals had quarterly site visits and full-day learning sessions. They also implemented a "change project" at their schools. The Professional Development team created this academy with the goal of building an innovative, rigorous, practical and comprehensive, collaborative and reflective program to help prepare these educators to be future principals. Each educator finished the program as an even stronger leader.
Congratulations to the following assistant principals and principals:
🍎Ed Geiger, South Fork High School
🍎Aimee Morell, Pinewood Elementary
🍎Stacy Reese, Jensen Beach High School
🍎Kelli Siters, Martin County High School
🍎Trisha Elliott, Hidden Oaks Middle School
🍎Lauren Rabener, Palm City Elementary School
🍎Tiffany Roth, Bessey Creek Elementary School
🍎Dayna Carroll, SeaWind Elementary - Hobe Sound, FL
